THE ALPHA COLLEGE COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE: 

The comprehensive package includes the college search and application process. Typically begins during spring of junior year or fall of senior year. This package is tailored to meet the needs of each student and may include:

Pre-planning

  • Administration and Review of student and parent educational and college preference questionnaires, student personality, learning style and career assessments.

  • Review and recommendations concerning high school curriculum, grades, and standardized testing.

  • Review and recommendations concerning volunteer work and summer planning.

  • Educating students and families about the college admissions process, what colleges are looking for, college rankings, and the financial aid process.

  • Students and parents have access to and use of an online college planning software platform to search and build college lists, create reports, plan and track application progress, and stay organized.

  • Researching colleges and preparing for campus visits.

  • Developing a list of good fit colleges.

  • Creating and refining your resume.

  • Personal statement brainstorming.

  • Interview preparation.

Applying

  • Follow up of action timeline and meeting deadlines.

  • Finalizing the college list to include a balance of likely, match and reach schools.

  • Application completion and strategies: ED I & II, Early Action or Regular Decision.

  • Personal statement revision and completion, and supplemental essay brainstorming, writing and revising.

  • Final review of applications and all essays prior to submission.
